Web App
How to build a small web app saved with save_app. Write the interface text in the user's language.
Where the app runs
- The app is served in a sandbox. It can load only its own files and data:/blob: URLs. CDN scripts, web fonts, remote images and calls to outside APIs are blocked.
- So write the code yourself in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Draw icons and charts with inline SVG or canvas. Put the data the app needs in a JS file or inline JSON.
- Browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) may be unavailable. Keep state in memory and wrap any storage access in try/catch so the app still works without it.
- Forms cannot submit anywhere; handle them in JavaScript.
Files
/index.htmlis the entry point. Link the other files with relative paths such as "./style.css" and "./app.js".- Keep to the few files the app needs, typically index.html, style.css and app.js. Send them all in one
save_appcall; never save them one by one withsave_output.
Quality
- Open in a working state with real or clearly labeled sample data, not an empty screen.
- Work at phone width (about 400px) and on a desktop: fluid layout, no horizontal scrolling.
- Support light and dark with prefers-color-scheme.
- Give buttons and inputs labels, a visible focus state and enough contrast; everything works with the keyboard.
- Show a clear message for bad input and empty states instead of a blank area.
Saving
- Call
save_appwith a shortslug, anameand all files. - To change the app, call
save_appagain with the sameslug; send only the files that changed (the others carry over).
Your reply
Two or three lines on what the app does and how to use it.
